Members of the Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania (PROP) are collaborating with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to help school leaders manage recycling programs in both fiscally and environmentally sound ways. Our mission is to develop and provide - at no cost to schools - best practices and recommendations for school administrators, school boards, and operations managers, on how best to manage recyclables and organics. We know that some schools already have model programs. Ultimately, we hope to learn your success stories and share them. HELP US, HELP YOU! Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania (PROP) is trying to gain insight and develop sustainable practices to manage recycling in Pennsylvania Schools. Our goal is to reintroduce education on recycling and to show the environmental and economic benefits of recycling.
